I can't eat from burger King, I'll get a drink from there, but I can't eat their food. I was traumatised once with really bad food poisoning from one of their burgers  :hide: it was the end of a holiday I was on, and I ate one of their burgers before leaving the holiday place... And for four hours on the drive home, I think I got out and spewed my guts up about 3 times, on the hard shoulder of a motorway as well! I was still throwing up when I got home for another few hours. Not good!  #:-)

And I'm sure their burger joints are fine, but all I feel when I spot a burger king is my gag reflex go into overdrive  ;D

That video clip reminded me of the golden girls for some reason  ;D that slogan, where's the beef, is a new one on me. Never heard it before, but its a good one!

Wendy's and Hardee's go neck and neck for me.  I take that back, if I am hungry for a burger, and I pass a Wendy's first, I'll pick that every time.  Hardee's just always seems to be on the same side of the road I'm on.

White Castle was great. The best fast food place for my money was 'Burger Queen' back in the day. Damn good burgers and to-die-for fried chicken and fish.    So naturally it had to go out of business.

Sadness!  :'( Can't blame your body for not wanting to take that risk again. Technically I love several flavors of Hamburger Helper, but I contracted such terrible food poisoning after eating the second half of a refrigerated skillet for breakfast I threw up through my nose (an experience I have managed to not entirely repeat since then) -- even got some bits stuck in that eustachian tube going to my right ear. Have not managed to convince my body to eat any since then EVEN THOUGH TECHNICALLY I KNOW I STILL LOVE IT!

Did you get the sauce or cheese on it? Those are more likely to go bad than the bun or the flamed meat. (Notably, Wendee's  chose to store their cheese at a higher temperature some years ago in order for it to melt better on the meat, which I understood though I don't eat cheese much, but which struck me as increasing the risk of some serious problems!)


Like Nefaro, the BKs around here have developed unsanitary looks about them. I'd still eat at them more often if I just lived closer to them; I passed one yesterday about 30 minutes from home, but had to get back to the office soon so I didn't take the opportunity.
