Like many people around the world, last year was not an easy time. However, we did not give up in the face of adversity, just as the Totem team has done for nearly 20 years.

We created two new scenarios for the Clad in Iron series, studied every available document about the iconic battle of the legendary USS Kearsarge and CSS Alabama for our new project, and finally found a new home on the Boosty platform.

Here you can get all our games directly and cheaper (without Steam or other intermediaries), see unique content about the history of the Steam Navy and support the development of our new game Ironclads 3: Cherbourg 1864.

We have and are preparing something new and interesting, and we plan to share our news more often.

Welcome to: https://boosty.to/totemgames

What is Bootsy? Never heard of it.

This series seems like a natural fit for Steam...get it?  :Nerd:

This is the European equivalent of Patreon from the Netherlands, but it only takes 5%.

We didn't leave Steam, and we don't intend to. We have given players an alternative.

We want to keep everything we do in one place and would really appreciate some support through subscriptions. We have 1 subscriber :)

Developing the new game has been harder than expected. It's our damn perfectionism in pursuit of our dream game that's to blame.

Through this service, is the only option subscriptions or can you purchase each game as well like on steam?  Also, how do the games install?  Is there some sort of client or do you just get an install file?  How do updates and patches get handled?  Is there a dedicated forum within the new place to discuss the game?

I found the site a bit confusing and never really heard of this before so have no idea how this all works.  Not a huge fan of subscriptions and if games will still be sold on steam, probably will still use that although I respect your trying to increase your revenue.

It's not about increasing revenue. It's about trying to survive as a small independent team making games for a very limited audience.

We can't afford the constant discounts that are so popular on Steam. If we cut the price by 50%, we won't sell many times as much. And if random people buy a game that's too cheap, they won't be happy and will rush to give it a negative review.
