Long War of the Chosen is a total conversion mod that makes significant changes to XCOM 2 with the War of the Chosen DLC Enabled, such as making the global mission selection screen, the Geoscape, a battlefield unto itself. One of the most significant changes is the increased number of soldiers the commander can take on each mission, allowing for more rapid promotions. The mod integrates the custom classes introduced in Long War 2 with the new Faction Hero Classes introduced in the War of the Chosen DLC.
Some other changes include: A much longer and more challenging campaign, running for 100 to 120 missions on average (200-300 hours). New Infiltration mechanics that require you to send out multiple squads at once. Manage resistance Havens and have resistance members scrounge for supplies, gather intelligence or recruit more people to your cause.
Thirteen Soldier classes: Reaper, Templar, Skirmisher, Sharpshooter, Shinobi, Ranger, Assault, Gunner, Grenadier, Specialist, Technical and Psionic Operative (plus Sparks for DLC owners), each with unique secondary weapons and unique skill trees.
Two new weapon tiers, Lasers and Coilguns. Dozens of new enemies including "The Chosen" who will invade your missions unannounced and make things harder for the XCOM project. And Smarter battlefield AI ADVENT strategic AI that tries to counter your moves.

Wow! -- I've been waiting for someone to figure out how to combine LW2 (for XCOM2) and WotChos into one mod! Is the original Long War team behind this?
Before now I felt like WotChos, even though a great DLC on its own merits, forced me to choose between which expansion I wanted to play with, which (irrationally I know) sort of paralyzed me from choosing either one. NOW WE CAN HAZ BOTH!

Lol, not a big scifi guy, but I did spend 20 hours in x4 foundations this week. That one tapped into the sim side which is why it was able to grab me.

I went to the XCOM2 workshop and there are a bajillion Star Wars mods...which is the "main" one? I might buy this game for just the Star Wars mods alone :smitten:

I came across it in a YouTuber lets play, check there plus you'll get a sense of the gameplay.
Running into stability issues with my comp. Damn game crashes when I try to start the second mission.... I did so well in my first mission (an ambush) I don't want to restart the campaign. May have to though.
OK so I have to say/confess that the game final got me to rage quit!
My beloved (scantily clad) shinobi Kendra "BeerBunny" Banni sallied forth and fleched an advanced grenadier leaving her vulnerable to a flanking move from a sentry.
FOUR!!! 80% + shots from her comrades in arms missed the sentry. My 100% sniper shot grazed for 2. And my Assault missed at 72%
Sentry moved up and flanked her and crited her for 8.
RIP BeerBunny
Rage quit. Came back on hours later and did it the right way.... killed the sentry first and BeerBunny sliced and diced the grenadier. (she is so hot in her cargo shorts LOL)

Edited to add, I came here hoping to see news that the long awaited LW2 / WotC confabulation was out of beta. :'(
