I'm Andy, a regular over at Consimworld and an occasional visitor to Board Game Geek. A Grogheads member just kindly posted here about the site I run, Limey Yank Games, and it piqued my interest enough to pop over, take a look and sign-up.
I have to admit, I'm most comfortable with the CSW type BBs but I can see by the topics and membership here that this will be a great addition to my on-line life if I can figure it out and become reasonably au fait with the structure.
A little about me. My gaming tastes are pretty esoteric as far as publisher, period, scale and complexity are concerned (though I'm not so keen on overly large rules books)I live in the UK and have been gaming since around the age of 11, with a hiatus from my early twenties until my early forties. Over the past 15 years, my game collection has grown from circa 200 - 1200 - so I think its fair to say I've been bitten by the bug again. This is largely down to Cyberboard which provides the basis for around half of all my current gaming. 13 years ago I established LYG (www.limeyyankgames.co.uk (http://www.limeyyankgames.co.uk)) as a CB file hosting site and I'm pleased to say it has become one of the go to places for folk playing with CB.
In 2014 I had my first design "Toulon, 1793" published by Legion Wargames and I'm now hard at work on my second game "Waning Crescent, Shattered Cross" which covers the 1565 Great Siege of Malta. I'm hoping to see this published in 2017.

Hi Andy, and welcome!
Wecome to Grogheads, Andy. O0
What Brant said +1 O0
Hey Andy, welcome.
I've visited Limey Yank Games on many occasions looking for both Cyberboard and VASSAL modules. Great resource. :bd:
Welcome to the Grogheads, Andy. Great to have you with us.
Welcome, Andy!
Welcome aboard, Andy! :)
Welcome aboard the USS Grogheads Andy!
We've saved you a comfy deck chair near the stern, nicely shaded by Turret 'D for Dora'. The waiter will be by momentarily to take your drink order and the dancing ukulele girls go onstage at sunset.

They're a little handsy, too. So, don't mind a pinch to the nether regions occasionally ;) Oh, and welcome to Grogheads!

That grass skirt chafes my nethers.
Welcome, Andy.
Grass skirt? I thought THAT was your nethers. :hide:
Wow, thanks for the warmest of welcomes guys :D :bd:
I guess you can see that our standards of humour are pretty....um.....
Yeah, well.
...can I give my grass skirt and coconut bra back now please - that ensemble never really looked very good with thermal long-johns.
Just make sure my coconuts are a B cup. Otherwise they look ridiculous on me.

The 'Stache goes well with any ensemble.
The real question is whether Mrs. Bawb likes it or not. O:-)
I for one welcome our new coconut bra wearing overlords!
Welcome aboard, Andy! Be careful around Barthheart, he's Canadian. You should be okay as long as you don't mention the war.

:DD
Whoever won that war? Sorry if it wasn't Canada.
I have not lost, nor will I ever give up the good fight. :tickedoff:
Good for you Vance. You defend your corner.
Be nice Bob.. or I'll come over there and give you a good clip! :knuppel2:
I'll put the kettle on then.
See! You guys mentioned the war and you scared Andy off! I told you not to mention the war!

I'm still here, peeking out from behind a boulder :wow: :hide:
By the way, since Andy's done a Napoleonic game - and an obscure and early period battle at that - I nominate him for membership in the Order of the Square Button.
I'm honoured - I think :-\ :)
Do I get two square buttons when the Malta game is out too?
Order of The Square Button? Damn. I never gotten further than The Moist-Loin Club. :-\ Somebody will have to explane that to Andy.

Well it'll depend on whether you circumcise your counters or not.
Welcome to the site by the way.
I certainly do not! :o :)
And thanks, good to be here :)
