WWIIE was developed as a simple game, and can be played that way. However, as you can tell from the file there is a complex side to playing as optimally as possible.

You can say that again! I was very impressed with what's revealed about the depth of the game via those tips. When I wrap up this session of Case Blue I'm playing PBEM right now, I look forward to seriously digging into this. I'm very tempted by the North Africa and Italy scenarios, since I don't have many other games that represent those.
