Think I'm finally gonna get around to learning the supremely awesome Mage Wars

Anyone else here played it yet?  I may actually have to track down some Vassal or OCTGN games at some point.

I think Longblade made it thru the demo at Origins one year

LOL.

You make it sound like there should be a medal for such an accomplishment. 

From the vids I've seen, it looks rather intuitive for all the variety of interaction available in it.  That may just be well designed component layouts.  Are the rules really such a chore?  For someone who started playing MTG back near the beginning, the gameplay looks like the holy grail.  Fortunately in an LCG-ish format.
