Title: Feedback on Museum Photos of Wargaming History
Post by: bayonetbrant on July 23, 2014, 08:34:48 AM
Matt Kirschenbaum graciously allowed us to run a gallery of his photos from a games museum in Switzerland (http://grogheads.com/?p=5555) that happened to have a war-themed game exhibit going on, with a lot of WWI games in it.

What do you think?

I was expecting to see Squad Leader and games of that vintage, and then glad I didn't. Nothing makes you more melancholy than going down to the regimental museum and finding out that all the weapons, uniforms and equipment you did your basic training with are now museum pieces.

Our high school JROTC drill team used M-1s. Those were museum pieces but I remember how cool it was to work with those as I was as huge a history nerd then as I am now. Most of my fellow team members did nothing but bitch about how heavy it was.  ;D
