Subnautica, DCS 2.5, Star Citizen, Gal Civ III.

Enjoy.

lol, darn, had a song lined up, but then took too much time when I started by listening to other songs by the band!!!

Been a taxing week work wise, in the mood for the weekend. Gonna probably be spending most of my time in Total War Warhammer!

Cool tune

F1 2017 - continue my career
ARMA III - just going to assault a town
DCS 2.5 - get those Mavericks launching. I can fire rockets, drop bombs, fire Sidearm missiles, but I've had no joy with Mavericks yet
Star Citizen - though maybe not. Last time I loaded it it was a real slugfest

And lots of rugby (well...if you support a team other than Scotland...I don't know what they were playing!)

Enjoy your gaming weekend.

WOW...JH finally picked a good tune...maybe there's hope for us all...!   After reading the Space Empires V thread I fired it up to check it out. Got it on sale a long time ago but never played it.

Nice song.

Installed 8GB RAM extra this week (system now totals 16GB) and will see how this effects the performance of DCS 2.5.
(increasing the preload should prevent microstutters)

I can't be held responsible for your generally poor, boring taste in music.  :crazy2: :crazy2:

Got a lot of work to do game-wise this weekend.

Finished my TW Warhammer campaign in defeat an ignominy last night, after 400+ turns. I really want to start another one but must cleanse my gaming palette first with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Endless Space 2, and perhaps Elite, which I spent some time updating last night. Curious about House of the Dying Sun too. And Kingdom Come: Deliverance comes out Tuesday! 😎

Hmmm...maybe some Elite and Endless Space 2 for me too...how great would it be if they released Kingdom Come early so we could play over the weekend!?!

No, just doing some crazy native twerking dance and praying to the game gods for it to come true. Start gyrating.

I bought for me Field of Glory II and Immortal Fire with my Anniversary Coupon.  :)  I am really liking this game.

WOOT! I just saw what is coming for FOG II: Legions Triumphant!!!!

Civ VI Rise and Fall as The Bruce. Having put off buying Civ VI until the Humble deal a week or so ago I have been pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is, so much so that I've now added on R&F.

I would hope that Ireland's game tomorrow won't be quite as nailbiting as our trip to Paris was last weekend.

Because you've nothing else to play?

My 16 month old (still new to me) HP screamer died.  Just got back from Fed Ex to send it to an HP repair facility.

So I'll be staring at a blank monitor all weekend (and likely all next week).   :'(

(Okay, I'm exaggerating.  I do have a laptop on which I'll be playing Strategic Command World War II).

Nice song.

Installed 8GB RAM extra this week (system now totals 16GB) and will see how this effects the performance of DCS 2.5.
(increasing the preload should prevent microstutters)

I'd be interested to see what happens - I've read conflicting arguments, some saying anything over 8mb being pointless, whilst others say more RAM will inevitably lead to better performance - let me know how it goes!

It made a MAHOOSIVE difference to my experience in that game. Loading was fast (though it's also on an SSD) but stuttering had vanished.

I have 32GB and although my in-game performance is flawless, I have long load times. My present installation is not on an SSD like JD's, so I think that is what makes the difference there.

I'll be playing some Space Empires V thanks to some help from bbmike.   O0

I also plan on breaking out my Conflict of Heroes Awakening the Bear board game and trying to re-acquaint myself with that gem of a wargame.  Definitely will be playing some Heroes & Generals and COD WW2 as well.

And then there is Farming Simulator 2017!

Schoolin' up for the Man in ATL has meant the laptop, and that means I stare at The Division icon on the screen and fume; meant for both at the crappy wi-fi and piss weak craptop that can't push the goods there.  Ugh. I need my Div fix bad.

Gonna watch the Hallmark Channel and drink malt liquor, I guess.

Ugh.

Steel Division - finished the second german campaign and now onto the last allied campaign.
WOWs - French missions... see how I go
Played my first tabletop game of star wars armada.... what a mission to learn the rules. Not very well written. Fun though. Made me realise how very limited tabletop games are. But thinking of making house rules for Z axis and lower/upper armour. Because space.

FINALLY got started recording my napoleon video, made the most sombre intro for the escape from Russia

"fall into me, and drown inside me, ill show you the way, out of this blue" Anybody that knows black mirror knows that song :D

Gaming wise I'm going to be balls deep in the Alpha 10 of Squad, CO2 and R6 Siege, also crying over my indecision to pick a new PC case.

Cooking wise, heading out tomorrow to pick up some thai chilli paste because i ran out of my jar spreading it on crackers, chicken bones for stock and sawtooth coriander for duck larb salad

Going to be in and out today so not much gaming.

What gaming I do get to will probably involve me continuing my Xenoblade chronicals 2 game and perhaps some Paradox grand strategy. I recently read "The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O." so my hankering for a historical grand strategy has returned.

Decided to punt on my Stellaris game until the next expansion hits.

I'm trying to be good in finishing Xenoblade because I have way too many half finished games and Monster Hunter World is calling my name.

Before the full 8 GB was used.  Now depending on the map around 12 to 14 GB is used so I guess the extra RAM isn't pointless.
I could increase the preload range to the max without increasing the load time too much.

I didn't notice an increase in average FPS but everything seemed to be smoother (non or very few microstutters).

I'm pleased with the result of more RAM in DCS 2.5 and they are still optimising this beta release so things could still improve.

I'm 100% single player but most posts in the DCS forum claim that 16GB is a minimum for multi player.
