Explained the latest news and upcoming meeting about the Campaign Series with Matrix/Slitherine. Then showed off what I was working on lately for the Iraqi's before we continued into the fighting around Port Said. The civilians are causing some interesting challenges. On the bright side the UK are finally getting their $hit together and making some progress. Oh yes, tanks hit the beaches! Woo hoo!

Longer-range ATACMS have apparently been used in recent days for the first time.  Previous ATACMS shipments were limited to the medium range (100-mile) weapons.  But we have apparently now sent them a number of the longer-range ATACMS that can strike about 180 miles deep, on the condition that they only be used to attack targets on Ukrainian soil.

The shipment that included the ATACMS was authorized separately from the recently approved authorization to supply Ukraine with another $61B of help, and was part of a $300M package that became available due to savings on other shipments.  Details are in the 2nd article below.

They were used to hit a Russian airfield and one additional site.  I'm honestly a little surprised that we don't have more operational security around what weapons were used when, but I guess this is the Internet age.

I'm strictly hoping that the Welsh, the English, and the Scots all use that "sabres" spelling over the Americanized "sabers" version.  I'm sure somebody will let me know if they don't!

I just saw a clip on Telegram from one of my sources that shows students storming Harvard Yard after Harvard University banned a Palestinian club on campus.  This is a bit too close to home for me.

The WifeTM and I were on campus this past Saturday shopping for souvenirs to send out as gifts and things were nice and quiet.

Quote from: FarAway Sooner on Yesterday at 01:31:17 AMUnless we were threatening the Russians with the nuclear weapons we have based in the UK.  Then we'd be rattling our sabres.

lol, well played!

Well, as Tom Clancy liked to say, rattled sabres are still in their sheathes; drawing a sabre makes no noise.

I play Rogue-likes from time to time

Tales from Maj'Eyal, Adom, BRogue (which has nice colors) to name a few

I'd check out Roguebasin - think of it as a portal to other sites that develop and host them. This is how I found out about BRogue, Omega (a Roguelike with a City called Rampart), Angband, Nethack, etc .They have a 7DRL event every year (7 Days Rogue Like where developers come up with a game) it's pretty cool to see what has potential.

Another cool site I check from time to time and he does do a few rogue-likes is CRPG Addict. He does a blog on classic CRPGS. Worth a look
