While I disagreed with several of McCain's political stances - most notably the McCain-Feingold abridgement of First Amendment rights - I never, not even once, felt the lest bit like he didn't have the best interests of the country at heart.  I might not have agreed with everything he tried to do, or how he tried to do it.  But I never once questioned that he was doing it for what he believed were the right, honorable reasons.

We need a LOT more of him in politics right now.

I haven't always agreed with him politically, but I've never had reason to question his integrity.
