For those tired of waiting on me to finish the VASSAL module and/or looking to play a more portable version of BB, it's coming to the App store tomorrow.

A bit more info HERE.

Thanks for posting this. Can't see how much it costs but I suppose I'll find out tomorrow.  :coolsmiley:

Well, I'm looking at it now. $4.99 price tag, not too bad.

BUT.

You apparently only get access to Human and Orc teams. The Skaven, Dwarves, Chaos, and Wood Elf teams each cost an additional $2.99.

I already own the Legendary Edition on Steam but was hoping for something portable that I could do at lunch at work or elsewhere. Totally not worth it to pay that much for two, much less six, teams.

Would you mind providing a link to the Android version?
I can't seem to find it on the Play store among all the other Blood Bowl crap.

GJK

I couldn't find it via the playstore on my phone but this link shows that my Galaxy Tab is compatible:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.focushome.bloodbowlandroid

So I'm guessing that if I search for it on my tablet, I will find it because it is a compatible device where as my phone is not.  Perhaps it works that way and perhaps that's why you don't see it? (Lots of variables in there, I know).

By the way, THIS is the portable version of BB that I want to get...

and it comes with 42 teams (aren't there only 24 "official" teams?  Anyways...), however, you need an opponent (for optimum results) and it costs a heck of a lot more than $5.99 +$2.99 per additional team....especially with shipping from other there to the States.  Still, a cool looking little kit.  I may have to make one from scratch...

I can't for the life of me believe that is legal. How does GW not throw all kinds of firepower at that??? Granted, the store sells legitimate GW miniatures, too, but...

Admittedly, that won't necessarily stop me from ordering it myself...

When it says "42 teams" it means there are two teams for each faction, so coaches who use the same type can still play each other. There are only 13 players per team though, so I don't know how that's going to allow special mixes, and I have no idea how coaches would keep track of players as the pieces don't even seem to have little numbers on them (or anyway the description doesn't say so and the zoom-in doesn't seem to show them).

Also I have no idea why four numbered dice are included but no block dice (despite what's shown on the photo). I guess people could just as easily haxor that, though. (1 = attacker down, 2 = both down, etc.)

I've come really close to pulling the trigger and ordering one of those sets myself Jason.  They even have mini-miniatures for it (but most are sold out).  The shipping over to the States is quite high though.  I may wind up designing my own grid and then laminating it and applying it to a thin slice of sheet metal and making my own travel version.  The figures that I have for my Blood Bowl module are scaled to perfect size to fit on magnetic strips (and mine have numbers).  A scaled down passing ruler could be created quite easily from transparency film or thicker lamination.  Heck, I'm on vacation this next week, this might be a project of mine.  :)

By the way, I went ahead and grabbed the $5 Tablet version of BB.  It works quite smoothly on my aging Galaxy Tab 2, even with the smaller screen.  It's enough to get a BB scratch satisfied while sitting in waiting rooms and the like.  Nothing beats playing the game with actual pieces and dice rolls however....
