We've been trying to update / correct some errors with the database on 7/7/16.  Posts made between 0630 - 1000 EDT might have disappeared.  We're trying to stabilize things now.

Update as of 07 July 2016, 1120 EDT

Our host is having an issue with their MySQL configurations on an entire spate of servers and is busy trying to fix it. It's affecting several hundred sites (at least) and not just us. They're supposed to notify us when its fixed, but it might get fixed long before they get around to emailing/calling us.

Final update:

For DBs that got up to a certain size, our host had an overflow server where they'd move the DBs.  Ours got over that size b/c one of our log files somehow ended up exploding to a ridiculously-huge size (separate issue that we need to figure out).

That overflow server had a problem with the way the underlying SQL app was configured, and that configuration was causing errors for everyone who was on that server, not just us.  So there were several hundred people affected, but the host hasn't told anyone why the configuration was wrong (probably on legal advice).

After some poking around, it looks like there were no posts that were lost, but there was a period of time during which not a lot of people could reliably get into - and stay on - the forums to even try to submit a post.  But since we didn't need to roll back out DB at all, nothing was lost.
