Total War...1942?

Not sure quite what to make of this...is it ridiculous or is it genius? Total War: 1942 - created in the Rome: Total War engine.

I saw that this morning. I love the idea and the work put into the mod but.... come-on. WWII Total War?  :o   Why do the tanks look like charging cavalry? The next game for me to play while dead drunk.

Ditto. I have nothing but admiration for the obvious effort put into the mod, but the end result is that everything in WW2 becomes desperate Soviet human / tank waves.

...maybe it should be Total World War I?

...seeing swastikas in a game perhaps? It's like, "that should be there, yeah! -- but not, ack, noooo!"

Not even counting the connotations of what they stood for.  That should disturb anyone.  But particularly those whose people got rounded up.

That said, the mass charges out in the open creep me out, too.  ::)

Warhammer had tanks, why not use that engin instead?
And I'd love to see Hitler and Stalin hero units.

That was my first thought, too, although then I figured it was too obvious so there must be an engine problem?
