...is starting on June 21 (https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/9/17335326/steam-summer-sale-2018-date-leak-steamdb). Just in case you were wondering :D

How can you not know this already?
Every year for the past decade or so Steam has a huge summer sale on/following the summer solstice.
Who said I didn't know this already? I try to put it out of my head but it's difficult for me because it starts on a day more important than the solstice, wiseguy.
<:-)
See if I have any money after my trip to Origins on Thursday

Okay, calm down Gussy, no need to get fussy.
So is the 21st your B-Day or Anniversary?
Mbar I like you, you can come over my house and f my sister.

Gawd, tell me about it. The only saving grace is that I have played the crap out of my boardgames, whereas I would just tinker with my video games.
GOG is having a sale, too. I am doomed.
I think that's the date Gus lost his virginity or something.
I've had a few games loitering with intent on my wishlist since about last summer; I might have to see if the sale can compel me to pick any up. I dunno...I'm pretty game saturated right now. At this rate, I'm likely going to die with half my Steam library never having seen a hard drive, let alone played, let alone played to any sort of completion.
First world problems.

Personally, I am not really in the market for anything unless some unbelievable sale, which isn't likely to happen for anything I might want. But I enjoy watching all of you spend your money:)

Grabbed a few things from Steam, GOG, and Fanatical.
Cold Waters
Principia: Master of Science
Romby
FrostPunk
Renowned Explorers: Emperor's Challenge DLC
Was hoping Opus Magnum (https://store.steampowered.com/app/558990/Opus_Magnum/) would have a deeper discount than 25%, but I've been waiting on it for a while...so I caved. Another goodie from Zachtronics... O0
Might have to pick up either Decisive Campaigns I or Ultimate General Civil War at $10 each

Yep! Cold Waters! Got it!
Cold Waters on discount is very high on my list.
Also Tyranny and War in the East for $24 is up there although I'd rather buy it on Matrix.
Have not seen Cold Waters at 30% off before. Ima have to buy it.
Probably can't resist the XCOM 2 DLC stuff, esp. War of the Chosen -- have been playing a ton of XCOM 2 of late and have gotten pretty hooked. It turns out to be a great game to move on to when you're kind of burned out on Battletech.
Saw One Deck Dungeon and bought it immediately. VERY fun little dungeon romp, based on the card game.

This is not on sale. But it is also not expensive at $10. But I just bought the physical game and have not played it yet.
I've got such a stack of unplayed games it is hard to buy something else. I also have a monster stack of RPG stuff unread.

yes. Yes you should.
Grabbed Farming Sim 2017, at 60% off. Pretty good value there. I have '13, and liked it. I can see putting a ton of hours into this one.
So I nabbed the Company of Heroes 2 Master Collection (mainly so I could get my hands on Ardennes Assault, but was interested in a few bits of the other DLC and this seemed liked a good deal), War of the Zombie (wasn't discounted at all - if it's not going to be discounted now, it probably never will), SuperPower 2 (third time I've bought that game - help me), the Kerbal Space Program expansion and StickFight: The Game.
Was almost tempted by Graviteam stuff, and Ultimate General Civil War, but can't quite bring myself to take the plunge.
*sigh* wish I'd seen this last night >:(
PayPal: Additional Savings at Steam $5 Off $30 (https://slickdeals.net/f/11722023-paypal-additional-savings-at-steam-5-off-30)
Offer is valid through 6/30/18 or while promotion lasts; Open only open to the first 40,000 to save the offer.
note: you will need to read through the comments at the link above. You've got to do a minor tweak to add $30 to your Steam wallet as your choices are usually 5, 10, 25, etc...
Thus far, I've bought the Brigador: Up-Armored Deluxe edition (with audiobook and soundtrack) for, converting euro's to dollars, about 19.50. It was on sale in the first half of the week as well, but I waited to see if the discount would improve for the summer sale (which would've been unfortunate for those who bought it on, say, Monday).
I don't know what else, if anything, I'll buy.
I've bought 8 games thus far in the first half of the year, not more than I can play. That's actually more than usual, or maybe it's just my impression that I buy less fewer than before.
In most cases, I don't buy stuff I will not actually play unless it's bundled with something I do want to play (for example: an inferior sequel packaged with a good original game).
Went for Atlantic Fleet, less than 5 quid it worth a go.
And for Afghanistan '11, not played the Vietnam game.

GTA V and Metal gear Phantom menace.
Total damage 35 €.

Yeah. I really dug the change of scenery for the new locations.
QuoteThe expansion follows the Team Sabre Squadron as they are deployed to take out targets and carry out mission objectives in two separate single player campaigns (*approximately 5 missions each) that take place in Columbia and Iran. The multiplayer feature boasts 30 new maps and an enhanced level of mod support for players to build their own unique maps.
The highlight of this expansion pack is that it features lush jungle terrain, never seen before to this extent in a Delta Force game. This also adds an exciting element to gameplay in both the single and multiplayer game.
I'd also highly recommend Delta Force: Task Force Dagger.
Solid missions, based in Afghanistan. It's kind of funny conducting attacks on the Kandahar Airfield, considering I was stationed there several years ago. Same applied to Medal of Honor 2010, when they portrayed SOF teams attacking to seize the Airfield.

So I've always gotten a kick out of the "News of the Bizarre" type columns where people do something so crazy or stupid it becomes news. But sometimes situations repeat themselves to the point where they are no longer bizarre. Stupid perhaps, yet commonplace. What does this have to do with the Steam Summer Sale? I'm sorry you asked......
I'm sorry because this is at least the fifth or sixth time I've gone to buy a game on Steam only to discover......I already own it. Today's entry into the bizarre was "Freemen:Guerilla Warfare" which I apparently bought during the Christmas sale and never installed. :-" :uglystupid2: L:-) Granted, I love grabbing a bargain and darn it, I'm a gamer. Still....it would probably be good for my karmic balance if I actually played the games I bought sometimes. Or even half of the games.
Oh and I'm reinstalling Skyrim. Somehow I suspect this will not end well for my unplayed game balance......
While browsing the sale I took a look at Steam's suggestions for other games I might be interested in. I found the following..................
WORLD WAR II GAMES Due to your recent playtime in other World War II games
Hidden & Dangerous 2: Courage Under Fire
-67% $9.99 $3.29
Putt-Putt® Joins the Parade
-60% $6.99 $2.79

Just curious, any of those games work with controllers or too old school for that? I know you can buy software that tries to make it work, but was just curious if any happened to have native support. The game pack is impressive, but without using a controller, going back to keyboard likely will kill me:)
I'm a bit tempted by 'Darkest Dungeon'
I've played Darkest Dungeon on and off for the past few weeks and have no regrets about getting owning it. I don't usually tolerate side-scrollers, but what makes this game fun is the campy Lovecraftian tone. The voice-acting is delightfully overblown, and the game has its tongue planted firmly in its cheek. Or something like that.
Tank Warfare Tunisia is only 7.99, well worth it IMO.

Hunh. This one snuck up on me.
Will prolly get the ARVN cosmetic upgrade for RS2 Vietnam, all the DLC for Payday2 and possibly get the upgrade for RO2 from "base," model to "super deluxe," so I can finally get those nifty hats for TF2 and those characters for Killing Floor (and yes, I still play those two games from time to time). Other than that, I could see maybe getting War in the West.

What;s the difference between graviteam tactics and tank warfare?
The former games focus on the eastern front the latter on North Africa. It's the same system made by the same developer, but the name changed due to licensing issues.
Buy it. Superb games.
Thank you. Too many people, myself included, mention games or acronyms about which I have no clue. These games sound interesting.
Star Trek Bridge Crew
Endless Space 2 Digital Deluxe & all DLC
Life is Strange - Before the Storm Deluxe Edition
Enslaved Odyssey to the West Premium Edition
Sword of the Stars Complete Collection
Tally Thusfar:
DCS AVB8 (for $34!)
Rise of Nations
Blackhawk Down: Team Saber
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway
DCS Nevada
Subnautica (holy hell, this game!)
My pleasant surprise for this sale is "Freeman Guerrilla Warfare" for $11. Still a work in progress...but is basically Mount & Blade does modern insurgency.
You start with about 9 fighters armed with some rifles and pistols. There are two other guerilla factions and bunch of bandits...the idea is to take over villages, win hearts and minds and become king of the hill.
I am only a few hours in. Pretty hard to keep your nacent movement from getting snuffed early. Also still has rough edges, so no full throated endorsement. But if you like the idea of leading a team of bots into a firefight in the context of a campaign, then it may be worth your time and money.
Anyway, certainly one to watch.
Thanks to Destraex and Jarhead I picked up Tank Warfare Complete, the base game and three DLC for $14.41. That has to be a good deal. (?)
Has anyone got Steep? Is it any good? It's only £8 - but still, I'd like to know how it plays. I've seen videos - but I want to know what a gamer thinks.
What about Dying Light? 7 Days to Die? Motorsport Manager?
So I picked one game so far Ultimate Civil War General. Which I am enjoying. I have a little steam cash left from my Dads day gift. I have been looking at Endless Space 2. I enjoyed the heck out of Endless Fantasy. So I thought I would ask if any of you enjoyed playing Endless Space 2. My other thought is Dominions 4, however I just don't if I can handle the graphics. I know snob right.
Motorsport Manager is one of the few games I've refunded on Steam. It sounded like a neat idea, but in practice it just didn't resonate with me. Kind of simplistic and the graphics - watching the races - just wasn't very awesome.
I don't remember too much more than that, but I do remember it didn't scratch that itch I had of being a manager when I just didn't want to break out the wheel to drive F1:201x.

That's exactly the feeling I had when I played the demo...too simplistic. There was something else as well...I can't put my finger on it, but it just made the game too "on rails".
I was asking in the hope that they might've changed the mechanics of the game to add more variables and make it more in-depth.
Never played the classic Halflife 1 so I spent a whopping 99 cents for it....hope it runs ok on Windows 10. ???

Endless Space 2 is a real well made game. I bought it and a lot of info under the cover. The tutorial is well made ad it gets updated.

I can give some info on 7 Days to Die, and my answer would be it depends....let me explain. How do you feel about survival games would be my first question? The game can be tough for new comers to get started, but there are settings to make it more approachable.
Graphics are voxel based but look pretty good when turned up, but its an alpha so FPS drop at higher settings does happen when a bunch of zombies are on screen.
If your going to build bases the resource gathering can be pretty grindy but there is creative mode that you can play and gift yourself the stuff you need. You can play on the stock map or a random generated map or get a map seed from the forums. Every 7th day your going to have to defend yourself and your base from zombies, you cant hide, they always find you, the zombie hordes get bigger each time. They will tear up your base and you'll have to repair it before the next horde, of course you can always take over an existing structure and fortify it. If i remember right there are 4 biomes, wastelands, desert, snow, green, some are harder to survive in then others, especially for new players. You can base above or below ground, but like i said resource gathering takes time[unless your in creative mode]. You can go nomad and just wander the map and bunkering down every 7th day. There are various setting when starting to adjust the game to your liking i.e starting horde size, whether zombies only walk, what you lose on death ect. ect.
If can be fun and a bit tense exploring the map when you first start, especially the towns and cities, sneaking around scrounging for food, water and weapons while avoiding the zombies. Deciding where you'll spend the night each day, you generally don't want to get caught out after dark. usually the nights are for crafting items, cooking food, boiling water, of course you could go out at night but i wouldn't recommend it until your geared up proper.
After almost a 1000 hours into the game i had a lot of fun in single player and multiplayer. Looks like alpha 17 will drop by the end of July, so a restart will be needed. What got old for me was the 7 day horde, the map features and the grind....of course this is after almost a 1000 hours. I not much looking forward to the stuff there focusing on and adding to the game, traps, electricity stuff, vehicles, a copter/plane thing. Some things i am looking forward to improved random gen maps, raiders/bandits, i'd really like them to focus on the zombie AI and map features with more interesting POI's [points of interest]. There's probably more stuff but i haven't been keeping up with it. i'll jump back in when alpha 17 drops. There are some other survival games that i enjoy more right now, The Forest, Subnautica, Empyrion, P.A.M.E.L.A., Subsistance, the last three are in alpha still but completely playable. The Forest and Subnautica are released and are fantastic survival games, what makes them different from 7DTD is the over arching story/goals which 7DTD doesn't have and the environments are more interesting, especially Subnautica.
Of course this is all IMHO, hope it helps.

I bought this and all DLC. Blown away by the visuals - absolutely stunning UI and graphics. Other 4x's look like they were made in the 90's compared to this. In my first game and enjoying it.
I absolutely Detested the first Endless Space, particularly (but not limited to) the inability to influence much about the battles or ships. I loved Endless Legends. The makes Endless Space 2 different?

Yea, been following Rimworld for awhile. Generally the only games i buy full price are from wargame developers i want to support, otherwise I usually wait for a sale. I have to throw up some barriers to my lack of impulse control game buying, because the fact that I already have too many games doesn't seem to deter me. The Rimworld guy said no sale until game is released, I'll be waiting.
Made 3 purchases;
They Are Billions
Oriental Empires
Stellaris: Distant Stars (not on sale)
Oriental Empires is a very nice game.
Picked up:
Commander the Great War
Firewatch
Tastee: Lethal Tactics

Still looking for TTP (time to play)
Bought Ghost of a Tale for my daughters, two DLCs for Assassin's Creed: Origins for myself and Clad in Iron: Philippines to fit in here.
Anyone running Endless Space 2 on an older PC? I'm wondering how it would run on my old 2.66GHz core 2 quad. I've got 8GB RAM and a GTX 750 w/2GB VRAM.
QuoteHas anyone played Into the Breach? FTL was fun for 10 minutes or so, but nothing more.
I bought it after the sale started and have played it for about 8 hours thus far.
It's growing on me, but I didn't like the randomness at first. Most of the time, the AI is "fair", but that's also because it makes suboptimal moves that you can counter. It can be a bit of a puzzle game, and not all builds are viable. Expect that you'll have to restart a few times before you get the hang of it.
You can take 1 pilot with you when you restart. That pilots keeps all experience, levels and skills. Everybody else starts over. You can't take equipment, items or upgrades with you when you restart.
It's a bit of an acquired taste due to the roguelike nature. I've never played FTL, but one of my friends did and told me that it becomes boring after you figure out the pattern to use for each situation. He only had to restart if he got screwed over by random events. There is more room for error in Into the Breach.
Note that even many people that liked it have spent at most about 20 hours or so on the game on Steam judging by the reviews. I think it will turn into a quick distraction or break kind of game for me, where you can complete a scenario or two before getting back to work.

It is not very demanding on hardware.
If found this as minimum requirements (http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=23511&game=Endless%20Space%202)
CPU : Core i3-4330TE 2.4GHz or APU A6-6400K Dual-Core
Graphic Card : GeForce GTX 550 Ti or Radeon HD 5830
1 GB VRAM and 4 GB RAM
Thanks Pete. Guess I'll give it a go then.
I think (could be wrong?) that Steam offered free play on that game for a weekend (similar to what the did with ES1). I played it and liked it, but didn't find much original about it. It was a polished and enjoyable Space 4x game, and quite beautiful, but didn't seem to have the excellent Quest system or the innovative city building that made Endless Legend such an excellent game.
It felt more derivative than innovative. Or maybe I just didn't play it enough to unwrap that tasty goodness?
From the limited time that I played, I didn't get much sense of emerging story lines (aside from some end-of-game conflict with major baddies, I'm sure). Distant Worlds: Universe spoiled me in that regard, even if some of the story lines were very random and only showed up once in a blue moon (e.g., a Colony ship escorted by an advanced heavy warship show up asking for asylum from powerful enemies).

I think the concern for me is the 7 day horde and worse, the increased difficulty of those hordes.
I do like the idea of Survival games, but I haven't found one that really grabbed me yet. The Forest was a bit basic and I found the combat a bit mullered. I actually do have Dying Light which is the closest I've gotten to fun - but the graphics are a bit poor for my liking.
I think the problem is they're all in Alpha or beta aren't they? So it's really hard to tell which ones "fit" because they're all incomplete - or are there any "complete" ones out there?
What was the one based on the ARMAII engine where you were on your own in a world with other people who just killed you to be twats?
If you're looking for a decent survival game Judge, I would recommend 'The Long Dark'. The campaign is being readjusted as they made it linear, which was a bizzare idea and people complained, but for pure survival try the sandbox mode. It's very hard, beautiful to look at and is constantly being updated.
Also, it's on sale at the moment https://store.steampowered.com/app/305620/The_Long_Dark/ O0
I also brought all the DLC for 'Darkest Dungeon'
I splurged...
Advanced Tactics Gold,
Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm,
Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris,
Pike and Shot: Campaigns,
Templar Battleforce,
Unity of Command (had it drm free but wanted it on Steam).
I'm terrible at tactics and strategy but hoping to learn how to play better using youtube videos and asking for help on here.

JD, you can increase or decrease the difficulty of the game at any point, including the number of zombies which appear in the horde (as little as 4 at a time, although they are replaced quickly), whether or not your zombies ever run (except feral....feral always run), how thick walls are, the percentage of goods found, how often looted containers replenish, etc.... The game is very customizable. Once you start leveling up you
will encounter tougher zombies more often but you will be better equipped to handle them. And creative mode can be turned on or off very easily. It's a game which can be tweaked to your style or level of interest fairly easily. You can even turn zombies off if you want to get a head start for your first few days. It's fun but I will be glad when it's finally a finished product....I've played it on and off since beta 4.2 and have 1500 hours invested O0
Watched a video on alpha 17 yesterday, looks to be out soon. Mentioned improved zombie pathing, and something like 70+ POI's added, but I think some of that is just new house designs. The pathing on the video did look better, and zombies can hit you while moving, which is a pretty big change. I think it's been almost a year since the last update, so it should be a big one.
JD, from the ones that I play only The Forest and Subnautica are officially released. Those are story based games so they don't stay in alpha/beta quite as long. I'm fine with 7DTD staying in alpha for now as that means they'll keep adding, refining stuff and since theres no story i don't have to worry about spoiling it. The game has been playable for a long time.
I forgot about the Long Dark, I had it early on and refunded it as trying to keep from freezing was really hard then, have to give it another look.

Kingdoms of Amalur got slammed by reviewers when it came out...I got it on sale a couple of years ago and had many hours of fun with it. It opens with an on-rails tutorial, but after that, and you reach the first village, it becomes an open world to explore.
Thanks for the heads-up.

7 Days to Die will be perfect in my book when it utilizes Steam Workshop. There are already mods out there but Workshop has spoiled me.
Added The Long Dark to my purchase list.
One thing in 7DTD i'd really, really, like them to add is a setting for the zombies that they only run when your hunted. I'm a zombie traditionalist, them running all the time just looks stupid and them walking all the time is a bit to easy, especially once your geared up. I play now with them walking all the time but jack up the spawn rate. I mean they seem to have it already in the game, the dogs only run when your hunted. Steam workshop would be awesome. Think i'm going to look into how to edit the 7 day horde to turn it off , i'd like the wandering hordes to stay so hopefully there separate settings. Dealing with the laser guided horde every 7th day gets old. If you have a bunch of light and are making a bunch of noise, bring the horde on, but doesn't matter on the 7th day with that laser guided, destruction mob.
I'm tempted by Darkest Dungeon, Plague, Inc., or Quest of Dungeons for my kid, but so far, I've remained chaste and pure.
Who am I fooling? With the kids home this summer, I don't have any damn time to play games anyways... :D

Welcome to 7DTD.
Here's some tips to ease into the game.
Setttings:
Play on the stockmap, not random gen at first, the hubcity is always at 0,0 on the map.
In settings set your your horde size to the smallest number 8 i think.
Set day length to the most day light hours you can.
Set air drops to daily, and have them marked on map.
Set zombies to always walk
Set drop nothing on death.
When you start you spawn in a safe area, no zombies. Start punching grass, picking up rocks, punching small bushes, check any bird nests you find . Make a stone ax quickly, grass clothes, bow and arrows. There's a tutorial on screen that prompts you. If you didn't spawn in the green zone,i.e. trees and grass I'd restart if green zone isn't close, it's just easier. The wastelands, desert , and frozen area are harder but have there own benefits. Immediately start looking for where your going to sit out the night. Stay away from towns and cities in the beginning, look for single buildings ...o if you find a road follow it, it usually leads somewhere good. Crouch to check your status, undetected, sensed, hunted, crouching is stealth mode . It's pretty easy to avoid zombies, the stealth is maybe to good.
Just some quick thoughts to get you started, enjoy.
Thanks :notworthy:
I don't even have the time anymore to buy games i don't have time to play....what the...!!!

Mmmmm, nothing I want, the only things that have piqued my interest are Prey, Fallout 4 and Evil Within 2. But I don't like paying for singleplayer story games.

Got Warlock 2 for the Renaissance mod and Vietnam '65, both together for under 10 dollah.
Warlock 2, plus the Renaissance mod (for which you need all the DLC) is an awesome game that I have spent many, many hours playing. Without doubt, this is one of my favourite games EVAH!
I want Cold Waters, but I bought myself a new Video card, need to behave ;)

This. Best to buy it now while it's on sale.
Had Endless Space 2 in my cart for a day or two and finally got it today. I think that, along with Opus Magnum and Cold Waters will wrap up the sale for me. I'm going to save the last bit of cash in my Steam Wallet for Victory at Sea Pacific when it comes out...soon...soonish.
Bought Surviving Mars, along with all the DLCs... it's been in my wish-list for a while and after watching a few youtube videos(Thx to Scott Manly, sort of). The sale was enough to sway me in the end.
I've been playing for over a week and love it... runs at a nice pace too.
Bought SOMA, but haven't played it a lot... looks really nice though.
Rayfer,
I'm about 6 hours into Kingdoms of Amalur. So far it's great! I do wish you could zoom the camera out a bit further, but I can live with it as-is.
With the Steam 2018 Summer Sale nearly over I might as well post my damage toll:
* Banner Saga 2 Deluxe (~36.5)
* Middle Earth Shadow of War Gold edition (~128)
* Assassin's Creed Origins Gold edition (~180)
*Cook Serve Delicious! 2 (~24)
* Bio Inc. Redemption (~34)
* Realpolitiks + New Power DLC (~40)
For a total damage of about 442.5 Shekels.
And I managed to trim my wishlist now to below 400 games :P

Heretic <insert burning and stake emoji that I can't find> ;)
For me it has been:
Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar
Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar - Advanced Tactics Pack
Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar - Mercenaries Pack
Democracy 3: Clones and Drones
Hegemony III: The Eagle King
Endless Space 2 - Untold Tales
Endless Space® 2 - Lost Symphony
Endless Space® 2 - Vaulters
Age of Mythology EX
Age of Mythology EX: Tale of the Dragon
Halo Wars: Definitive Edition
Avernum 2: Crystal Souls
Avadon 3: The Warborn
Avadon 3 Hintbook and Bonuses
All of the above adding to games or series of games I already have, somewhat echoing Ian C's thread http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=22607.0
Picked up Grigsby's WitE and DLC's. And VoiceAttack, which I wanted, and then forgot about, then saw it mentioned in some thread on here while I was searching for information to decide on a purchase. Should come in handy for ARMA and iRacing if nothing else.
Damn. Sale ended before I got home so I couldn't get Surviving Mars.
I thought the ended on the 5th and was mildly disappointed when it ended on the 4th. That kept me buying a game I had never planned on buying. Good.....?
I didn't buy a single game from Steam during its Summer Sale this year.

I picked this up at the last moment. Glad I did. Big fan of 'Fable 2 - The Lost Chapters' and this hits the spot nicely.

It ended on the 5th, 10:00 AM California time.
Time to start countdown to holiday sale!
There's also the autumn sale.
...and the End of Sale, Sale, and the Sale Between the Last Sale and the Next Sale, not forgetting the Sale Because There is Not a Sale, Sale.

That's the one that always gets me. :buck2:
And the Sail Sale.
snail fail?
No.
For those who stay inside a lot, the Pale Sale. Next?
One of my surprisingly good impulse buys is Niche - A Genetic Survival Game
The best way to describe it is that you act as the guiding spirit of some cute creatures, as you manipulate their genes through breeding to help them survive. It is part Spore, part Kerbal Space (at least the part about cute characters using science based gameplay), and part Dominant Species (the board game without the other players).
Not on sale the game is $19...and probably a stretch for that. But on sale, it was $9, and definately a great diversion for that.

How about the pail sale? Buy everything on your bucket list.
or
'Any other sale would pale by comparison' sale.
Or a Bale Sale for those of us who 'baled' on the Summer Sale. :bd:
Male Sale - men only?
(Holy) Grail sale? Bit of a chore to locate, but well worth it I'm sure.
Hail to the Sale :notworthy:
and Sale Heil! :o ...all WW II titles with European theater 33%-45% off ^-^
Trail Sale -- for outdoor 'walking simulators'.
Ale Sale - for Beer & Pretzel Wargames.

Whale Sale for large..... games.
Rail Sale, where train enthusiasts end up spending lots of money whilst "saving money"? Those pick-your-preferred-type-of-transportation simulators are some serious DLC money sinks.
Anyway, I ended up buying Brigador, Into the Breach and Shadow Tactics which I wanted to get at some point.
I don't like not being able to tie people up in Shadow Tactics, forcing me to save scum my way through a level if I just knock people out. I still like Commandos more at this point, but Shadow Tactics is a fine game.
I forgot all about Shadow Tactics...
Kale sale...for the herbivore minded Brethern.
Nail sale - catering to all of the open world builders out there.
And then there's the "Kale Sale" for those who are always falling for the "buy it, you'll like it" line.

When I was young, I used to get drunk and do things I couldn't remember. Now I'm old and stay sober and buy games I can't remember. Circle of Life. :idiot2:

With exception to one New Years as a teenager where I learned that no food and mass quantities of alcohol don't mix i can honestly say I do remember everything I've done.
All have to say is you feel a lot more guilt about being and ass and remembering vs potentially being an ass and not remembering.
There are degrees of sobriety. As long as I'm in the top 50%, I consider that as good as sober. I grade on the curve. The things I do when I'm drunk I can't remember don't concern me. It's the things that are so bad I can remember them the next day despite being drunk that really frighten me. >:D
Then there are those times measured by how many days it takes to lose the the dreadful anticipation of a door knock with strobing blue&red lights outside.
... or so I've heard. :-"
Or trying to get your front door key to work in the lock after a night out only to realize the reason it doesn't is because your trying to get in the wrong house. :hide:

I used to know a convict in a federal penitentiary who told me that many of the convicts he knew could not remember committing the crimes they were convicted of. Since they couldn't remember, there was no defense against the crimes they were charged with. So be careful where you are and who you are with when you drink so heavily that you can't remember what you did or did not do.
Good point. I've actually never been 'falling down' drunk, never drank so much I couldn't get myself home at night. My Automatic Pilot takes over before that and cuts me off. I think the loopiest I've ever been was once at work suffering from hayfever I took 2 Benadryl. I couldn't stand-up and stay awake and had to flush my system with lots of coffee to stay at work.
