I wonder if we should have a category for "best kickstarted game" to help boost GARPA's profile a little?

err....ummm...2009 but I got it this year  ;D

Sorry - believe it or not, I didn't think the title required the game to be published in 2014 and in my defence, I seldom take part in this kind of thing - my bad  :-X

I hope it won in 2009 then!

There's only a couple of titles that really stand out to me.

Fleet Commander Nimitz is one, but until I've had a chance to thoroughly play it I'd hate to throw its hat into the ring. I've already read a few minor glitches in the rules that are somewhat unclear, but I'm still willing to consider it for this honor just due to its size, scope, and solitaire-ness.

I would 2nd Brant's mentioning of Fire in the Lake. Wonderful game, modelling military and political morasses very well.

I haven't written a review yet, but I'm going to have to go with Fleet Commander Nimitz.

I LOVE getting this game out to play. Sure, it's random as hell, but it's FUN.

I'd nominate Warfighter - it's a great game - but the rules are atrociously organized.
