Let's start collecting nominations throughout the year for 2014 Readers Choice voting.

don't forget to be nominating games throughout the year here.

I suspect that PanzerDE might be nominating Circle of Fire

Got it did you?  It is a great game.  :)

When pre-ordering, I wavered between this and "The Supreme Commander" and for whatever reason, went with the latter but thinking maybe I should of gone with US though I have yet to even begin to read the rules for TSC. I'd really love to give both a fair shake one of these days though.

Now that the VASSAL module is out maybe we could give it a try? I've been playing solo and it's a fun new take on the subject.

open up a new thread and tell us more about that one - I saw it at Origins but couldn't tell if it was a decent wargame, or a Euro-wish-I-was-a-wargame-'cuz-I-look-awesome game...

I'll start a thread up in a day or two. It's a fun little game that's equal parts light wargame and Ameritrash dice-chucker.

Strategy game - Dead of Winter (for now...I can see this falling apart some times, kinda like BSG does from time to time)
??? game (don't know a category, but it's pretty damn good) - Five Tribes
Light game - Run, Fight or Die
Card game - Among the Stars (I'm counting this as a 2014 release, because it was previously only available from Europe)

Yep. And that's despite them printing 10,000 copies, which is double the size of any print run Plaid Hat has ever run for a game before. They were confident in it being a hit, but had no idea it would be this massive until it was far too late to order a bigger run.
