Looking good JD- gonna be lots of nervous Shermies out there.

Try lightly washing up the 'metal' scars with rust. some slightly, others more (older).

Thanks SW

I was going to muck them up about. They look odd currently and very bright. I've got lots more weathering to do.

individual tracks are your friend:

I'm on the edge of thinking about ordering individual tracks in the future. It's extra cost, but to get the right look, it may well be time to justify the extra cost.

Very nice work, I've never done that kit yet.

I've tried Fruilmodel tracks in the past, they look fantastic but the costs and labour to put them together can be a real hassle. With good weathering, even rubber tracks can look good.

Thank you

She's shiny now, but that'll be dulled down with some dirt washes

metal tracks are the gateway drug of armor modeling.
tracks
turned metal gun barrels
photo etch
interior kits
working suspension

Toonces - Don't ask me, I just close my eyes and take it.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Looks swell.  Just from the act of trimming toe nails, and trying to see what I'm doing at the same time,  I realize my plastic modeling days are past.  :DD
Stolen elections have consequences.

Achtung Baby

I really like this model, the colours work really well together.

I don't think I've ever built this kit yet, surprising enough. I'd definitely buy the Tamiya kit.

the newer Dragon kits are more accurate.

Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanther - £24.99
Dragon 1/35 Jagdpanther - > £50

Depends on priorities and how you feel about it. Dragon are superb models. But would I feel good doing a mediocre paint job on a £50-£70 kit? I don't think so. The paint job I've done is worthy of a £25 kit.

Besides - I got a Jagdpanther AND a Panther for £40  ;D

around these parts the Dragon kits are way cheaper then the Tamiya kits and provide more options.

I started with a Light Dirt wash

Then I used a technique I had never used before...Humbrol powders activated with water and Matte Cote for adhesion and then enamel thinners to re-activate and spread/thin. I might have gone a bit overboard - what d'ya think?

I'm calling this one done and moving on
