Scotland Hates Cheap Booze

The Supreme Court of Scotland has ruled that setting a minimum price for a fluid ounce of alcohol is legal.  This will eliminate drink specials and cheap booze below a specific price floor.

As a lover of Scotch, I'm disappointed in Scotland.

Yeesh. I know more than a few Scots that will not appreciate that. :(

Though to be honest, good scotch and whiskey shouldn't be cheap, necessarily.

There's a bad drink culture in the UK but I think it's pretty bad in Scotland.

I think it's probably more designed to hit kids in the pocket that can get a 2 litre bottle of Buckfast for £2.
