Panzers

What’s the most enjoyable tank-based game have you played?

Are you a fan of WWII-era tank combat?

Cold War-era tank battles along the inter-German border?

Or MidEast shootouts between the Israelis and, well… pretty much everyone?

Or do you look to South Africa and Rhodesia for their armor ops in their bush wars in the 70s and 80s?

What about near-future hypothetical conflicts like India-Pakistan or Ukraine?

Patton’s Best and Open Fire are my favorite tank-based games. I enjoy World War II
and Cold War tank battles – Team Yankee and Firefight come to mind. I like the tactical level. Looking forward to GMT’s Main Battle Tank series schedule to appear next year with the first installment.

Steel Panthers. Almost any incarnation… but the later SPMBT is one I keep DOSbox on standby for. Would love a remake… updated graphics, full OOBs… scenario ports… SPWWII is great also, but loved the modern scenarios.

Guess I’ll hafta settle for CMANO and Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm.

Has to be the LNL World at War series, especially Blood and Bridges (love those Challangers!) Something about that system of rolling lots of dice and killing off counters appeals to me

Certainly, both Panzer (GMT) and Tank Leader (West End) are my next two favorite

Really like October War (SPI)…darn it now I am not sure which is my favorite! I love them all

Ok, finally an end to my madness…no

What about near-future hypothetical conflicts like India-Pakistan or Ukraine?

    again no

Steel Beasts. If we go to the counters-and-strategy side, the TacOps has got to be the best thing for me personally.
