Scenario 3 – Operation Cartwheel,  Attack on New Georgia

New Georgia is a large island. My main objectives are taking various points on New Georgia. My secondary objectives are completing the scenario quickly, sinking six or more Japanese Ships, doing 20+ damage with aircraft and neutralizing an airfield on a different island.

There are two landing zones which are so far apart they cannot provide mutual support. Initially you cannot place your aircraft because you lack an airstrip or a carrier. You have a Navy force of one cruiser and two destroyers. Your cruiser and two destroyers have very limited operating room in the South because of shallow seas.

I sent two Marine units to the Northern landing zone. In the South you can either have a safe landing zone by concentrating your forces or you can attack on two beacheads.
