Time to take back what’s mine from the Yirphunea. No real surprises in my plan, 1st fleet with 6th fleets transports will move to attack Faltir, while 2nd strike group and 3rd fleet will be set defend the Furmus and Dhayu systems from any counter attacks.

They’re almost on the other side of the galaxy from me but the Glorious Enton Territory agrees to sign a mutual defense treaty. If the Visareen decide to attack,  they may go after my new allies first before coming for me, giving me some time to prepare.

I’m running a huge deficit at the moment. Expanding or upgrading the fleet is out of the question until I can get back into the positive in terms of cash flow. I’m considering changing governments in the near future. The +10% maintenance cost for being a republic isn’t the worst thing in the world but it is contributing to the negative cash flow.

I have a minor problem I didn’t notice until now: my fleet range is atrocious. That cuts down on the options I have for targets. The only viable ones are the Gulrath Territory, Grand Iskabar Authority, and the Yirphunea Supremacy. The former two would stretch my fleets’ fuel limits. The Yirphunea are closer, but I would be going up against their home world defenses.

For now I’m going to run covert operations against all three focusing on the Yirphunea. If I can catch them while their fighting someone else I might be able to catch their homeworld without significant troops or ships to support it.

Dawn of a new year. I’m now 5 years in. Private sector seems to be doing OK, although it doesn’t have a lot of cash on hand at the moment, despiteits  healthy revenue stream. Not really surprising my state income is in the red, then. It’s a good thing I cancelled those colony ships since I don’t need right unproductive colonies dragging me farther into the red.

That is a lot of ships. My exploration ship Decrepit Starfire has found the Yirphunea Supremacy’s homeworld.

Thats more like it, every construction yard on both of my spaceports is full. These ships should go a long way towards helping transport resources from my new mining stations. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like there is anything queued up when this batch of freighters is done.

And right at the start I run into the Yirphunea Supremacy whose primary race is the insectoid Dhayut. These guys don’t like me very much. I currently have several advantages over the Yirphunea Supremacy:  I have five colonies to their two, a population of 18 million to their 10 million, and a higher military strength.
